Fromage Blanc Crostini with Pumpkin Butter, Prosciutto and Sage

Fall season calls for everything pumpkin and we love this toasty, tasty and bewitching combo of fresh Fromage Blanc and pumpkin butter on toast. It makes an easy, beautiful holiday appetizer with the perfect balance of sweet, salty, smoky, and creamy flavors.

Makes: 24 crostini

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons olive oil
24 fresh sage leaves
1 – 7.5oz container Bellwether Farms Fromage Blanc
1 baguette, sliced into 24 rounds and toasted
1 jar prepared Pumpkin Butter (or substitute Apple Butter)
24 slices of prosciutto 

Directions

For the sage leaves: Heat oil in a small pan, add sage leaves and cook, swirling the pan, until the leaves begin to color. Remove to a paper towel.

Spread the toasts with Bellwether Farms Fromage Blanc then spread a spoonful of Pumpkin Butter. Top  with prosciutto slice and fried sage leaf.
