Creme Fraiche and Gorgonzola Dressing⟵ See All Recipes
We like this creamy, bold dressing with crisp mixed lettuces or a wedge of chilled Iceberg. It does double-duty as a dip for vegetables, bread sticks, chips and chicken wings, and makes a great sandwich spread. Keep plenty on hand!
Makes about 2½ cups
1 7.5 oz. container Bellwether Farms Crème Fraiche
½ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1-1/3 cup good quality mayonnaise
4 oz. crumbled Gorgonzola (or other creamy style Blue Cheese, crumbled)
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
In a mixing bowl, combine the Crème Fraiche, dry mustard, pepper, garlic salt and Worcestershire. Add the mayonnaise and blend well. Add the cheese and vinegar and mix until cheese is well distributed.
For best flavor, refrigerate overnight. Thin with milk if the dressing is too thick.
